The principals of piped water underfloor heating relies on a continuous feed of pumped, circulating warm water via a mixing valve to an adjusted lower temperature.

Under-lfoor heating works by pumping a controlled flow of warm water from any heat source through plastic tubing embedded in the floor. Because the emitting area is large, sufficient warmth is provided even on a cold winter day with no need for supplementary heating. Warm Water Underfloor Heating is 30% more efficient than low temperature radiators with a ground source heat pump, 20% more efficient with an air source heat pump, and 5-15% more efficient than low temp radiators with a condensing boiler.
